A generous £70k donation has been made to the Inspiration Trust family of schools - which we are a part of - to help us to support our communities during the coronavirus crisis. Each of the 14 schools within the trust has received a donation of £5k.

The school is donating:

  • £2,500 to Nelson’s Journey
  • £2,500 to Spurgeons, Norwich

Jo Brown, Principal at Charles Darwin Primary School, said: “We know that charities are working incredibly hard to support our community and this generous donation enables us to give them a helping hand. We're pleased to be able to donate £2,500 to Spurgeons, a domestic abuse charity based in Norwich, and £2,500 to Nelson’s Journey, who are helping lots of families."

Simon Wright, Chief Executive at Nelson’s Journey said “This generous donation could not come at a more important time. Like many charities, we've seen a big drop in our fundraising income and yet our services will be needed more than ever over the coming months.

"This donation will help us to continue to offer bereavement support to children and young people in Norfolk at this challenging time. Nelson's Journey is incredibly grateful to the Inspiration Trust for choosing to support our work.
