Invoices
Invoices will be issued at the beginning of the month and will be due for payment within 10 working days of the date of the invoice. If an invoice is not paid by the due date a 10% late payment fee will be added to the following month’s invoice.
Invoices are to be paid by BACS, standing order or bank transfer. Invoices or part of can also be paid using childcare vouchers.
All families will be issued an invoice monthly. The invoice will be itemised to provide clear and transparent information concerning the charges as agreed in the parent contract. It will allow parents/carers to see that the entitlement is received completely free of charge and understand additional fees that have been applied.
Detailed receipts will be issued for all cash and cheque payments.
It is essential that you quote your child's name and account number as a reference for all payments. This will help us identify your payment and credit the correct account. Your account number can be found on your invoice.
Monthly fees are calculated by multiplying the weekly fee by 50 weeks and dividing by 12 calendar months. There is no charge for days when the nursery is closed for staff training days, Christmas and New Year period, or for bank holidays throughout the year. However, you are still charged if your child is absent due to illness or holiday.
Any additional sessions provided on an ad-hoc basis will be charged in arrears and added to your next invoice.
Unpaid invoices
If the balance of your invoice is not paid by the next month then a 'brought forward' balance is added to the next month invoice total, including the 10% charge for late payment. A letter stating the agreements for payment of the balance will also be attached. If the balance is not cleared within the 10 working days then a final notice will be given. This may affect your child's placement in the nursery if left unpaid.
Funding available
Two-year-olds, 15 hours free childcare
Some children are entitled to 15 hours free childcare at the start of the term following their second birthday depending upon their family financial circumstances. Although they are entitled to 15 hours free childcare term time because of the 'stretched’ offer this actually equates to 11 hours free childcare per week for 50 weeks.
If your two-year-old is entitled to 15 hours free childcare you will receive a letter from Norfolk Family Information Service providing you with an eligibility code. This code needs to be given to Nursery School in order for us to claim the free childcare.
If your child attends for two morning or afternoon sessions (10 hours) then these would be free but if they attend for three morning or afternoon sessions (15 hours) then you would be charged for the balance of four hours.
