Year 4 Aquaterra STEM Talk

Today the year 4 children had a visit from a Design Engineer from Aquaterra. They discussed what skills are required to become an Engineer and how lessons such as maths, science and technology can all support a career in this field.  The children asked lots of questions and were fully engaged and excited about what the visitor does in his job: drawing, designing, creating and producing computer models.

This was our first visit from a member of the Aquaterra Energy team whom we will be working closely with in the coming few years. They are keen to promote science as a subject and all the different career paths it can lead you to. In particular, they hope to increase the enthusiasm of girls within the subject and all of our pupils were fully engaged and interested in today's session which is a fantastic start.
